Josh Taylor knocks out his opponent Vasquez then proceeds to make a truly brilliant gesture right in the ring.
Josh Taylor once again proved he is world class and the real deal by becoming the first man to stop Miguel Vasquez in his career.
A perfect body shot in the 9th round was enough to close the show live on Channel 5 in the UK (free to air TV).
No doubt the big audience the fight went out to as a result of the fight being on free TV will have been impressed and grown the Taylor star even further.
In one of boxing’s truly brilliant moments, following the fight ending here is Josh Taylor offering his defeated opponent out for a drink in the ring:

Quality stuff. A sure sign of respect if ever there was one.
The win improved his record to 11-0-10KO and now puts him into a huge position going forward in the WBC rankings as last night saw Taylor capture the WBC Silver Super-Lightweight Title.
Vasquez had some success early on in the bout but by the mid rounds you could tell that Taylor was beginning to wear him down.
Ultimately, this allowed Taylor to capitalize on his mistakes time and time again and when the right hand to the body landed in round 9, there was no chance of Vasquez recovering at that stage.
