Anthony Joshua and Carlos Takam go head to head at their final press conference before getting into the ring and throwing down Saturday.

Anthony Joshua and Carlos Takam met today in Cardiff, Wales at the final presser before Saturday night’s WBA (Super), IBF and IBO heavyweight title showdown.

An intense stare off (below) ensued with Takam not looking intimidated in the least.

He’ll be coming to land something big on the champion and will know he more than has the power to hurt him if he lands, with Klitschko and Dillian Whyte showing in the past the champion can be hurt.

But Takam is not those fighters of course, and the size difference between both men today was very apparent as Joshua towered over him.

It could be one of the shorter opponents that Joshua has faced to date in fact, which could present difficulties for him if Takam uses this to his advantage.

No doubt Joshua’s trainer Robert McCracken will have his man well schooled on dealing with shorter heavyweights mind you.

The key question will be if Takam can get off to a fast start.

If he’s to have any chance, surely he knows landing something big, early, will be his main opportunity to upset the apple cart.
