Fury makes a comparison to fighters of the past if he and Anthony Joshua are to ever step into the ring in the future.
A fight between the two seems a long time away at this particular point in time. Given the fact Fury currently does not hold a pro boxing license and has not fought in almost two years.
Having said that, when Fury does return to the sport of boxing, the bout seems to have a feeling of inevitability to it due to its sheer size.
Joshua in recent days has offered his support to Fury in making a return. A classy move, to be fair.
He knows that in the grand scheme of things both guys are still relatively young for heavyweight boxers and a rivalry between the two in the future could grow into something huge.
Fury has had this to say on Twitter, drawing a comparison to iconic boxers of the past:
If @anthonyfjoshua adopts the @MikeTyson style vs me I’ll adopt the @MuhammadAli style that’s coming back after years out& beating the bully
— TYSON2FASTFURY (@Tyson_Fury) October 18, 2017
Joshua returns to action later this month in Cardiff, Wales, in front of an expected 80,000 fans in a stadium showdown against Carlos Takam.
