Trainer Reveals Extent Of Chaos During Charlo Lubin Ringside Altercation

Respected trainer and coach of world champion Jermell Charlo opens up about what took place during the Charlo Lubin ringside brawl.

Following the Charlo Lubin world junior-middleweight title fight at the weekend an apparent riot nearly broke out following Jermell Charlo’s first round knockout win.

Following the Premier Boxing Champions bout at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, a ringside brawl broke out that involved in a number of people and chairs flying.

While it was not exactly clear what caused the brawl, or who exactly was involved, trainer of Jermell Charlo – Derrick James has spoken from his point of view on what take place.

Speaking to the folks at Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip) James goes into detail on what he saw following the fight:

With the fight taking place in New York, if any repercussions are to come from the above the New York Athletic Commission would be the body investigating the ringside brawl.

From a boxing perspective, it was an emphatic display from WBO light-middleweight champion Jermell Charlo. Surel the most impressive of his career to date.

A huge fighter for the 154lbs weight division, it’s hard to see too many people lining up to face him next up after such a conclusive win that improved his professional boxing record to 30-0-15KO.
