Eubank Jr vs Yildirim and Crolla vs Burns weigh-in results ahead of this weekend’s boxing action in the UK and Germany.
Eubank Jr vs Yildirim and Crolla vs Burns will be the two big TV fights of note in this weekend’s boxing action taking place in Manchester and Stuttgart, respectively.
First up in the Eubank Jr vs Yildirim IBO super-middleweight title fight in the quarter final of the World Boxing Super Series.
The challenger Avni Yildirim came in at 77.6kg – right on the super-middleweight limit of 168lbs.
IBO champion Chris Eubank Jr came well within the super-middleweight limit at 75.8 kg. Clearly still filling into the division since moving up from middleweight.
This will be his third fight at 168lbs.
The fight will also be an eliminator for the WBC super-middleweight title which was recently vacated by former champion Badou Jack, a belt now held by David Benavidez.
Next up in the action in Manchester between Anthony Crolla and Ricky Burns.
Hometown favorite Anthony Crolla came in comfortably inside the lightweight limit at 9 stone, 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
Travelling Scottish fighter and former multi-weight world champion Ricky Burns also made the weight with ease. Looking in tip top condition at 9 stone, 8 pounds, 5 ounces.
We have a fight, as they say.
Both bouts above this weekend promise to be entertaining ones from a fight style perspective, so don’t blink:
