Chris Eubank Jr Recalls A Crazy Shooting Moment In Las Vegas

Chris Eubank Jr Recalls

IBO super-middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr recalls a crazy story from his younger days growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The Englishman as a child was sent to Las Vegas by his father to complete his studies in the sweet science in what many consider to be the fight capital of the world.

He returned to England where he lives today in Brighton later on, but many of his younger years and childhood were spent living in Las Vegas.

Indeed, the tail end of his training camp for this weekend’s fight in Germany was spent in Vegas. It’s a place he knows as almost a second home.

Recently the horrific shootings of a serial killer gunman in Las Vegas made world headlines as the world sadly knows all too well now.

Speaking ahead of his upcoming IBO title defence on Saturday, Eubank Jr told The Sun that he once had his own close call at gunpoint in Vegas himself.

Speaking on an incident where he and a group of friends were drinking and partying in a Las Vegas car park, Eubank recalls how all of a sudden a man pulled up in a car and started pointing a gun at him:

“First he pointed it at me, so I hit the deck. Then he started blasting away over the top of me at another car. I’ll never forget it, or the way he just looked so calm as he did it. Then he just put the gun back in his jeans and walked back to his car as if it was nothing.”

Crazy stuff indeed.

Eubank Jr is the third seed in the current Word Boxing Super Series and is one of the favorites along with fellow Englishman George Groves to capture the Muhammad Ali trophy:
