Chris Eubank Jr next fight opponent’s promoter is pulling no punches ahead of the World Boxing Super Series quarter-final showdown.
IBO super-middleweight world champion Chris Eubank Jr finds himself in final preparations for his latest test in the ring when he takes on Turkish boxer Avni Yildirim next week in Stuttgart, Germany.
His opponent might not be that well known to many but make no mistake, he brings plenty of challenges to Eubank at 168lbs.
The Turkish fighter’s promoter has been on the verbal onslaught of Eubank Jr and his father in the final run up to fight night, saying on Twitter:
“If you are so brave and ready to go to war, why don’t we agree on the smallest ring allowed by the rules? You are talking like you want to make this fight exciting. Let’s do it! Let’s give fans a fight to remember.”
He added:
“Why don’t you answer? Or let your daddy Chris Eubank answer for you? This was a serious request. Let’s keep the ring small and give people a war. I think you like to talk the talk but you can’t walk the walk. You’re probably just a spoiled disrespectful child.”
The bout is the first for both in the World Boxing Super Series and will mark the third time Eubank has fought at 168lbs.
Eubank’s last fight came earlier this summer when he scored a unanimous points decision win over German Arthur Abraham.
