Dillian Whyte could find himself getting closer to a world title shot and he knows it, he’s upping his verbal warfare against the person who it could be against.
The Englishman finds himself back up the rankings since the sole loss of his career a couple of years back to longtime rival and now division head honcho Anthony Joshua.
But a rematch with his old heavyweight nemesis looks like it will have to wait, as he appears to be going down the WBO route potentially, of recent speculation is proved to be true.
WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker who won a majority points decision this weekend over Hughie Fury did mention before and afterwards that he intends on campaigning in the UK more too.
So a fight with Whyte in theory could make logical sense for all involved.
Both men’s promoters have met in the past so it wouldn’t surprise this writer if Whyte got a crack at the title in the new year.
He’s not impressed by anything he saw from Parker against Hughie Fury however, saying:
Parker is rubbish omg he’s bad

He added:
You are rubbish @joeboxerparker please make this fight @EddieHearn @SkySportsBoxing #RUNBISH

Time will tell if he gets his wish or not.
