This short video shows how Willie Monroe wasn’t too keen to face off with WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.
The pair will compete on the same night this weekend as the big fight in their division between Golovkin and Canelo takes place across the pond.
American Willie Monroe who’s travelled the other way across the pond this weekend knows all about Golovkin having suffered knockout defeat at his hands.
No doubt he will be looking at Saunders this weekend as an opportunity to possibly get another crack at him (if he beats Canelo, that is).
Monroe comes across as a quiet, respectful character and has let his minders deal with the verbals coming his way this week from the champion.
In this behind the scenes footage from BoxNation Twitter (hat tip) the two can be seen at close quarters sharing some rather personal jibes – as well as Willie Monroe been rather hesitant in the first place to go over and face Saunders:

The two fighters will weigh-in later today ahead of tomorrow night’s bout at the Copperbox Arena in London, England.
WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders has hooked up with new trainer Dominic Ingle (also trainer to Kell Brook) ahead of the fight and has based himself in Sheffield to take himself away from distractions at home.
Saunders is promising to be back to his best this weekend:
