MMA fighter from the UFC Michael Bisping has given his thoughts on stepping into a boxing ring with Liverpool’s Tony Bellew.
Now seems to be the prime time for UFC fighters and boxers calling one another out following the Mayweather vs McGregor event in August.
It’s happening all over the shop.
The latest idea for a UK boxer at least came recently when Tony Bellew said he would have absolutely no problem with stepping into an Octagon against the UFC’s Michael Bisping.
The Liverpool boxer and Manchester fighter are both quiet outspoken in the media, so one would imagine a fight between the two wouldn’t have a problem selling.
Now it has come that Bisping himself would not have an issue with stepping into a boxing ring with Bellew, either.
“All good Tony. People twist things. But for the record, after GSP (George Saint Pierre), I’m down to have a boxing match with you 100 percent.”
Well, I wonder how that would go?
Big respect for Bisping stepping up mind you. One can’t imagine he would have much of a chance in a pro boxing ring against Bellew however.
Bellew’s last fight came back in March of this year when he shocked the world to stop David Haye inside the distance in their bout at the O2 Arena in London.
