A Cross Fight Between Katie Taylor and Holly Holm In Play

Following Mayweather vs McGregor it seems another cross boxing and UFC fight between Katie Taylor and Holly Holm is on the cards.

After Mayweather vs McGregor we spoke about if the trend between pro boxers and pro MMA fighters dipping into each other’s sport would continue.

It appears to have, with UFC fighters seemingly being lured to boxing for the bigger pay days.

Female fighting star from the UFC Chris Cyborg recently received her professional boxing license in the State of California.

As well as former UFC men’s heavyweight champion Gabriel Gonzaga announcing he’ll be making his pro boxing debut recently.

Now an even more intriguing development has come.

Ciaran Gallagher of the Irish Independent has reported that Irish female boxing sensation Katie Taylor could face the UFC female bantamweight champion Holly Holm in boxing next year with her manager mentioning it was a ‘strong possibility’.

Holm before getting into the UFC comes from a world class professional boxing background herself – having been a multiple time world champion in three-different weight classes before embarking on her UFC career for better prospects.

Katie Taylor is currently 6-0-4KO as a pro boxer and will fight for her first world title next month on the undercard of the Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev heavyweight title stadium show in Cardiff, Wales.

Before retiring from pro boxing and moving into MMA, Holly Holm held a professional boxing record of 33-2-3 (9KO).
