What Mayweather Said To McGregor Mid Fight

What Mayweather Said To McGregor

What Floyd Mayweather said to McGregor during their fight as he broke the Irishman down before stopping him.

Trash talking has long been a part of the fight game and likely forever will be. Sometimes however, these verbal jousts extend to beyond just press conferences and interviews.

During the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor boxing match at the weekend there was one point in the fight where Floyd Mayweather was seen pushing Conor McGregor and actually talking to the Irishman.

After the fight – the American revealed what he was saying to him in the ring:

“I pushed him and told him – you still ain’t knocked me out yet. I thought you said it wasn’t going past four? Show me your real power. Trash talking that fighters do, whether it’s MMA or boxing. We talk trash. That’s what we do. When the best compete against the best we want to be pushed. That’s how boxing and MMA goes.”

It isn’t the first time Mayweather has actually talked to his opponents mid fight in the ring. He’s done similar with his sparring partners over the years too.

To the point of where some have actually walked out of sparring as some stories go, where others have given it back to him (hat tip Fight Hype YouTube):
