Carl Froch Conclusively Rules Out Comeback Fight

Former world champion Carl Froch conclusively shuts down chances of him coming back ever again to boxing after some approaches from fighters.

He appears to be one of those few boxers that got out at the right time, at the top and with plenty of financial security to boot.

His last bout was the biggest of his career when he knocked out George Groves in front of 80,000 fans in Wembley – which has since become a topic of humour due to the frequency of which Froch brought up the win years after.

He’s well and truly retired now however, despite the odd rumour this year that he could be tempted back for one more – as he told Kugan Cassius of IFL TV:

“Fighting is all about risk reward. I ain’t coming back. We’re not even entertaining the conversation of a Carl Froch comeback are we?”

He added:

“No it’s not for me mate, fighting. I’m retired now.”

Froch is in Vegas this week to work as a pundit for Sky Sports ahead of tonight’s showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

Froch during his time as a professional boxer built up a record of 33-2-24KO.
