Eddie Hearn Gives Update On Joshua vs Klitschko Talks

Promoter Eddie Hearn this morning has given an update on the situation regarding the Joshua vs Klitschko talks, amid some reports that a deal had been reached.

This fight since it was suggested in the last week has already got fans buzzing and debating online, a genuinely exciting heavyweight clash if ever there was one.

But it’s not over the line yet Eddie Hearn has said this morning via a video post on his Instagram account:

“I’ve seen a lot of stuff talking about AJ and Klitschko saying that it’s done. Its definitely not done. We are negotiating, we are in talks with team Klitschko and Bernd Boente.”

Hearn added:

“I’m hopeful that a fight can be made if everything works out. Joseph Parker of course are mandatory (IBF) is boxing this Saturday.”

He concluded:

“On AJ we are working hard, we hope to have some news soon and I will update you when I can.”

So as you can see from the above, the Joshua vs Klitschko talks roll on and we will have to wait on the outcome of this Saturday’s Joseph Parker fight too, at the very least.

There seemed to be a real sense of optimism that this fight would get made when initially mooted, notably from Hearn himself who appeared confident of making the fight happen only just a few days ago.

But as we all know this is boxing and anything can happen.

November 26th is rumoured to be the date being looked at for the fight in the UK but don’t book any flights or hotels just yet.
