Mike Alvarado connects with a right hand that was nothing short of a baseball bat equivalent to the jaw. An almighty wack.
Mike Alvarado must be feeling pretty good about himself today after he launched himself back into contention on an ESPN card that by early accounts did very well TV ratings-wise.
Boxing on the Terence Crawford vs Julius Indongo bill, teak tough Alvarado showed he had plenty left in his career and scored a highlight reel stoppage for his fourth win in a row.
His unfortunate victim was Brazilian Sidney Siqueira who was on the receiving end of this explosion:

Good night Irene. That’s all she wrote, as they say.
Alvarez had suffered three defeats on the spin a number of years back over the likes of Ruslan Provodnikov, Brandon Rios and Juan Manuel Marquez but is now slowly but surely working his back into title contention with three of his last four wins also coming inside the distance.
The win last night improved Alvarado’s professional boxing record to 38-4-26KO.
While last night’s fight ended in definitive fashion for Alvarado, he’s no stranger to wars and digging in when the going gets tough.
Who’ll ever forget this classic in one of the best fights in recent times:
