Cuban boxing great Rigondeaux rips Nicholas Walters on Twitter but has also been paying respect to other fighters including Conor McGregor.
For those familiar with Guillermo Rigondeaux’s Twitter feed in recent times – you’ll know he pulls no punches whatsoever when it comes to voicing his opinion.
He’s had to be outspoken to be fair, as landing big fights has not been something that has come easy to him in his career to date.
One such man that could be on his hit list if his much wanted Lomachenko showdown doesn’t come off is Lomachenko victim Nicholas Walters.
Rigondeaux doesn’t think much of him, however:
Nothing better then KARMA. Nicolas “I give up” Walter must be having tea with her right about now. She is a great host.

My next fight MUST B w1 of Dbest LbxLb in D? But if I ever take an easy fight again hopefully it is vs ? Santa Cruz and “I GIVE UP” Walter.

It’s not at all one way from ‘Rigo’ though.
He often praises fighters he respects on his Twitter account too and has been one of the few in the boxing world giving Irishman Conor McGregor props for landing the Floyd Mayweather fight:
Can’t understand you people. @TheNotoriousMMA is already a winner. He is fighting #TBE on his first ever pro ? fight. #MayGregor

This follows similar words of praise from the Irishman who last week mentioned Rigondeaux as one of the boxers of the modern era he watches.
