Errol Spence Explains Why Kell Brook Was Toughest Fight To Date

Errol Spence explains why his fight with former world champion Kell Brook was the hardest bout of his career so far.

A week on from the Errol Spence vs Kell Brook fight in the UK, Spence has been touring the country doing some media and publicity work following becoming IBF welterweight world champion.

Spence ultimately stopped Brook inside the distance, but was made to work incredibly hard in front of 27,000 Kell Brook fans in Sheffield early on.

Brook is a strong, big punching welterweight – who put Spence under pressure early on and tagged Spence with some quality shots.

Some solid right hands in particular.

Spence proceeded to gradually break Brook down however, walking forward and working his way through a scrappy fight early to mid rounds.

He seemed to figure out after the mid rounds that in order to effectively box Brook that he would need to do it from a longer range then he was doing.

Once he got his distance down it proved to be the beginning of the end for Brook, in truth. He showed all the poise and patience of an established champion in the bout, despite it being his first world title win.
