Behind The Scenes Insight Into Anthony Joshua Training Program

A rare insight into the Anthony Joshua training program – what the heavyweight champion goes through day to day.

The Anthony Joshua training program consists of two a day sessions. One in the morning and one in the afternoon accompanied by a lot of rest.

Ahead of the biggest fight of his life this weekend against Wladimir Klitschko, it’s safe to say all the hard work has now been done.

Rest will form a vital part of this week as the body recovers from a gruelling past 14 weeks or so that it was pushed to the limit in.

Particularly given the fact he is a large heavyweight carrying more weight and muscle on him.

This week will be all about getting the mind focused and going over final game plan bits with his coach Rob McCracken.

McCracken is a tough task master who no doubt would have pushed Joshua to the limit both physically and mentally over the past while.

He has plenty of experience in doing so, having coached Carl Froch successfully throughout his career and on another memorable fight occasion at Wembley vs George Groves.

He knows Joshua well from the amateur days too when he won Olympic gold.
