Catch the Flanagan vs Petrov live stream of the WBO lightweight world title fight free of charge on Twitter for fans in the US.

Tonight for the first time ever a world title fight will be shown live and exclusively in the US on Twitter for boxing fans thanks to the folks at Banner Promotions.

A similar concept was done a few weeks back in Ohio for US boxer Adrien Broner’s last fight that was shown live on the Showtime Twitter account.

Tonight WBO lightweight world champion Flanagan from the UK makes his latest defence as he gets ready to put the longest unbeaten run in British professional boxing (32-0-13KO) also on the line.

Flanagan is probably one of the most underestimated world champions in boxing at the moment but make no mistake, he can fight as good as most of the champions out there.

A tenacity, all round boxing ability and will to win as strong as any boxer has seen the Manchester native rise to the top of the sport in recent years.

Tonight he headlines against Russian Petr Petrov.

Petrov will not be known to many outside of the hardcore boxing fan base but like the champion, he’s also not to be underestimated.

A solid puncher who’s only ever been stopped once in a professional tenure with more than 40 bouts. He comes into tonight in good form with five straight wins on the bounce too.

Check out our own Peter Wells’ full preview of the fight between the two tonight here.

Now, to what we all came for.
