Lomachenko vs Walters Purse Revealed Before Fight

The Vasyl lomachenko vs Walters purse has been ascertained from the Nevada State Athletic Commission prior to tonight’s WBO super-featherweight world title fight at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

The Cosmopolitan is one of the smaller venues on the Vegas strip that you’ll come across for a boxing event, but it’s also one of the most exclusive and intimate atmospheres you’ll find – with literally not a bad seat in the house.

(Check out our big fight prediction on the fight here).

Both Vasyl Lomachenko and Nicholas Walters will battle it out in that atmosphere on tonight’s Top Rank card and the Lomachenko vs Walters purse for the fight has now been revealed by ESPN’s Dan Rafael as being $300k for Walters and $1 million for Lomachenko.

Not bad for a night’s work if you can get it.

Of course there are other revenues the show will make surrounding gate receipts, sponsorship, possibly a bit of merchandising and some TV income, so what both men actually get when all is said in done is likely to be higher than the above figures.

The above numbers are those which are required to be disclosed purely for the Lomachenko vs Walters purse for the fight as per the location where the fight will take place in Las Vegas, which is overseen by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Both men made the weight at Friday’s at the first attempt. It’s one of those fun filled fights that could have a bit of everything between skill, speed, power and heart. Expect a cracking contest between these elite level pugilists.

In many ways it’s a fight for the purists with the level of skill that will be on display and surprisingly, there hasn’t seemed to be too much buzz in the media in the build-up to the fight.

But don’t let that fool you.

It’s up there with one of the most compelling matchups from a boxing context of the year (at least in my humble opinion).

Although Lomachenko is the slight favorite he will need to be at his very best to defeat the ‘Axe Man’. If you are thinking of a bet on the fight here are the betting odds ahead of tonight.
