Former Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year wants a rematch with Jessie Magdaleno following the pair’s fight this past weekend in Vegas.
Jessie Magdaleno won the WBO super-bantamweight title last weekend following a 12 round battle with Nonito Donaire.
It was a fight that had a bit of everything in different parts of the contest, but Magdaleno’s discipline in the end in sticking to the gameplan and boxing well off the back foot against Donaire proved to be the difference.
But ‘The Flash’ is now calling for a rematch via his Facebook account and has had this to say to the new champion following last weekend’s fight:
Time will tell if Magdaleno takes up the challenge, but after watching the first fight I for one would watch another match.
The clash of styles resulted in a fairly entertaining battle but it’s hard to see how Donaire might win second time round.
Particularly at this late stage of his career, although he still has more than enough power to trouble anyone in the division.
