Carl Frampton vs Leo Santa Cruz Rematch A Done Deal

The Carl Frampton vs Leo Santa Cruz rematch is all but over the line according to the champion himself today.

Many will remember their thrilling first contest earlier this year in New York when Frampton emerged the victor after a hard fought, highly entertaining battle at Madison Square Garden.

Frampton (23-0-14KO) became a two-weight world champion with the majority decision win back in July and captured the WBA (Super) featherweight world title from Mexican Santa Cruz (31-1-1-18KO).

Good news has come for fans this afternoon who were awaiting news of a rematch between the two recently:

While it is not clear where and when it will take place just yet, this will come as positive news for boxing fans after their last fight had a bit of everything from technical boxing skills, punching power, heart, stamina and much more.

The pair’s last bout took place earlier this year on Premier Boxing Champions and at the moment the TV series is an unknown transition period as fans await when their full list of next confirmed dates and shows will be.

Their next current event scheduled is Danny Garcia vs Samuel Vargas on November 12th in Philadelphia. Perhaps Frampton vs Santa Cruz will be added to the calendar shortly also.
