Undefeated heavyweight Con Sheehan scores 1st round knockout tonight in Manchester.

Irishman Sheehan was taking on the Czech Republic’s Radek Varak at the Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford, Manchester in the UK and wasted little time with a swift first round stoppage win.

That’s now two wins inside two weeks for Sheehan, who has become more active in this time frame than his entire professional career date, when compared to the previous nine months when he first turned pro back in January that saw him have just one fight.

Sheehan is boxing under a new trainer in Peter Fury and already has plans to fight again on October 23rd against an opponent to be confirmed at the Hermitage Leisure Centre, Whitwick, Leicestershire in the UK.

Sheehan a standout amateur for Ireland, is being tipped for big things in the pro ranks by his new trainer Peter Fury – also head coach to heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury and undefeated heavyweight contender Hughie Fury.

No doubt that Sheehan won’t be short of sparring partners on his now turbo charged heavyweight career where he is being kept very active once again.

Tonight’s win was the first time Sheehan stopped an opponent in his professional career, with improvements in his punching power in the pro ranks becoming more and more evident now as he begins to sit down on his shots more.

The 27 year old Tipperary native from Ireland improved his record with the victory to 3-0 (1KO).
