Chris Eubank Jr Tommy Langford British Title Defence Ordered

A Chris Eubank Jr Tommy Langford middleweight British title fight has been ordered next up by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Talented British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr might have been frustrated recently after missing out on an opportunity to fight one of the pound for pound best fighters on the planet in Gennady Golovkin, but it has been confirmed to Boxing News and Views that he now has a new opponent and will put his belt on the line in a domestic battle against smooth boxing 160lbs operator – Tommy Langford.

Speaking on the fight, a representative from the British Boxing Board of Control confirmed to us:

“We put out purse bids for Eubank to defend his title against Tommy Langford yes.”

Tommy first must get past a fight this weekend however when he boxes on the Terry Flanagan world title show in Cardiff, that also features the great Cuban super-bantamweight Guillermo Rigonedeaux on the card televised live on BoxNation.

Tommy Langford (16-0-4KO) will take on Finland’s Timo Laine (15-6-4KO) for the WBO intercontinental middleweight title tomorrow night knowing that a win sets up a huge showdown with the well supported Eubank Jr.
