Chris Arreola Talks About Motivation Ahead of Wilder Fight

Chris Arreola knows that this weekend could very well be his last opportunity at realising his dream of becoming a heavyweight champion.

Arreola at 35 years of age has been around for a while now and is certainly still a tough operator, but how much he has left at the very highest level in the sport is unknown.

In the build-up to this weekend’s fight with Deontay Wilder, Arreola seems to be in a good place mentally and physically ahead of the relatively short notice fight.

Perhaps it’s the experience that he’s built up over the years that facilitates this positive mental attitude, as he’s seen it all before in the heavyweight division.

Style-wise he’ll be giving up some reach to the longer and more powerful Wilder, but Arreola is notoriously durable and tough – and will certainly be coming to fight.

Our man on the ground this week Peter Moss was in attendance at the final press conference where Arreola spoke on what motivates him at this stage of his career and more in this video captured by Peter:
