Sergey Kovalev vs Andre Ward Contract Signed

Published On April 25, 2016 | By Niall Doran | Boxing News, Boxing Views and Opinion

If you are a fan of the best fighting the best, good news is on the way soon in boxing’s light-heavyweight division.

Weight class kingpin Sergey ‘Krusher’ Kovalev and recent talented division addition Andre Ward – are set to meet late this year, at long last.

So it would seem anyway.

Talks of the match up date back a while now, mentioning that the pair would collide in the fall of 2016 should they both keep winning.

But ESPN’s Dan Rafael has revealed on Twitter that Russian Kovalev’s promoter Kathy Duva confirmed to him that a contract has definitely been signed:

It’s hard to disagree with Kathy Duva’s statement above, in fairness.

From a credibility point of view and for out and out pound for pound talent facing each other, it has to be up there as one of the very best fights that can be made at the moment.

Here’s an excellent promo video of this mouthwatering pound for pound implicating fight by the folks over at the GoatBoxing YouTube account:
