Ahead of their third and most likely final encounter, the fight purses for Saturday’s WBO welterweight showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley have been revealed.

The main thing that struck me when reading the purses was the absolutely huge gulf in difference from what the guys at the top of the bill get paid, as opposed to the guys towards the end of the undercard earn.
Sure, there’s always going to be a big difference but the sheer monetary gulf in what guys getting paid on the card is considerable, to say the least.
Pacquiao as the star of the show pockets a guaranteed $7 million dollars (not including PPV revenue) which sounds about right.
But then if you go down the undercard, some guys are getting paid $1500 or $2000 for their respective professional fights. Bit of a difference from $7million eh?
