Carl Frampton Eyes How Many Fights Left In Career

Carl ‘The Jackal’ Frampton is planning on having a maximum of ten more fights more before he calls it quits from professional boxing.

This week the popular Belfast man has been busy collecting his new MBE award, not long after coming off the biggest win of his career when he recently outpointed long-time rival Scott Quigg to add the WBA title to his IBF super-bantamweight strap in the pair’s unification match just gone in Manchester.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph this week, Frampton who is also a devoted family man said:

“I probably have maximum another 10 fights. Probably three and a half years. I’d like to be out by 33, I don’t want to set a definite age limit on it. If I’m still feeling fit and faculties all in tact – but I wouldn’t like to be doing it much more than 33.”

Frampton who is currently 29, still has another good few fights left in him and it will be interesting to see if the super-bantamweight champion makes a move up to the featherweight division to capture titles in multiple weights before he does eventually retire.

Here’s a short clip of his explosive, exciting work this far, in a career that has seen him remain undefeated to date (22-0-14KO):
