The ‘Executioner’ now turned ‘Alien’ is expected to have his final swansong in the ring later this year.

He’s had a career that’s lasted longer than any professional boxer and many professional athletes for that matter, where he’s consistently stayed at the top of his game at the highest level for an extraordinary amount of time.
He’s always been a person that has done things his way, but at 51 years of age, he knows the end is coming soon (on what’s been a glittering fight career).
Speaking with ES News, Hopkins has said to expect a big announcement relating to his opponent within the next week or so:
“It’s not going to be weeks away, within the next week. I think it’s going to surprise people who it is.”
He went on to say that the fight will see him pitted as a considerable underdog:
“In some people’s opinion it might be an 80-20 fight, and I’m the 20. I gotta be the underdog, if I’m not the underdog I’m going to break a window to be one. I’ve got to be the underdog, if I’m not the underdog in this fight there needs to be an investigation.”
Speculation will now turn to who this mystery final opponent could possibly be, with the contest likely to take place in the light-heavyweight division where Hopkins has spent the 10 years campaigning at – dating back to his unanimous decision points victory over Antonio Tarver in Atlantic city (back in 2006).
