The ‘Hayemaker’ made an impressive return to boxing last night at the O2 in London.


David Haye left little doubt as to did he still have the power in his fists that he once did, when he conclusively cleaned out Mark de Mori inside one round last night, in his comeback fight after three and half years out of the ring.

Haye’s speed also looked to be on point, with his counter punches coming off very quickly on route to de Mori’s demise, although the Londoner clearly had put on some bulk and size since his last outing.

Some of the naysayers will question the level of opposition Haye faced but after three and half years out of the ring, he was never going to be put in with a world class operator.

He did what he needed to do in style, and improved his record to 27-2 (25KO) and will now likely see a much tougher test in his next bout later this year.
