Stolen Hall Of Fame World Title Belts

FBI On The Hunt For Stolen Hall Of Fame World Title Belts

Published On November 12, 2015 | By Niall Doran | Boxing News

Six belts in total have gone missing from the International Boxing Hall of Hame in New York

The belts in question were won by legendary warriors Carmen Basillio (four) and Tony Zale (two). It is understood that there has not been a monetary value placed on the items at this point in time.

This shocking boxing theft story first cropped up late last week, but it has now been reported that the FBI in the States have been brought into the hunt to track them down, following the initial break in that took place last Thursday.

Two champions who won the belts are now deceased, with the story sparking widespread outrage in the boxing community.

It is understood that a specialist division in the FBI has been drafted in specifically for the case.
