mayweather vs pacquiao fight week schedule

The waiting is almost over, here’s a brief overview of what to expect from this crazy week.

________________________________________________________________________________

Today

  • Manny Pacquiao will spar for the final time in the Wild Card gym in LA.
  • Over 100 Pacquiao team cars, including an elaborate caravan with his image on it, will commence the interstate trip from LA to Las Vegas.

Tuesday

  • Mayweather will make his grand arrival at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas at 6pm in the US East coast, 3pm local time in Vegas on the West coast and 11pm for fight fans in Ireland and the UK.
  • Pacquiao will break tradition in not doing this and will instead settle in his hotel on the Tuesday.

Wednesday

  • Both fighters will meet face to face at the formal press conference at 4pm US East coast time, 1pm local time in Vegas on the West coast and 9pm for Irish and UK fight fans.

Thursday

  • No official obligations on the fighters on this day, from what we can see.
  • Expect mass media coverage though online, TV and radio outlets, with pre-fight documentaries, camp videos and interviews all likely airing throughout the day before Friday’s weigh-ins.

Friday

  • The two boxers will come face to face for the final time before they get in the ring.
  • It is expected that the weigh will start at 3pm in the East coast of the US, 12pm local time in Vegas on the West coast and 8pm for boxing fans in the UK and Ireland.

Saturday

  • Fight Night!
  • The UK/Ireland’s telecast coverage is estimated to start at 00:00am Sunday morning.
  • It has been mooted that the US telecast local time in Vegas is expected to start on the West coast at 6pm and in the East coast of America at 9pm.
  • The main event is estimated to start at roughly 11pm US East coast time, 8pm local time in Vegas on the West coast and 4am Sunday morning for viewers in Ireland and the UK.
  • We would advise however to check your local listings for the start of event coverage to be sure, as times may vary depending where in the world you are watching from and changes to TV schedules often occur.
