This female boxer did the X symbol in protest after her bout in an Olympics filled with controversy amid gender disputes.
Two boxers in the current 2024 France Olympics were tested to have XY chromosomes (the male chromosome) in 2023 and were banned by the IBA (International Boxing Association).
Neither fully contested it at the time. Now the latest female boxer from Turkey has protested with the following gesture that she has X chromosomes (the female chromosome):
Lin Yu-ting, a male, defeated Turkish female boxer Esra Yildiz Kahraman. She made an X symbol with her fingers after being beaten by a man to signal XX female chromosomes.
