Previously unbeaten Haney has had strong words for his promoter Eddie Hearn following last weekend’s fight at the Barclays Center.
The failed drugs test of Ryan Garcia this week has once again for now brought the topic of PEDs in professional boxing into the limelight.
Haney is furious and told promoter Eddie Hearn that he now wants to get the result changed to a no contest.
Hearn has said this is something he will have to consider.
This will bring Haney’s undefeated record back, sure.
Respectfully, on another note, Haney did get caught with the left hook in the fight quite a lot, regardless of the result and adverse findings in Garcia’s post fight drug test.
This is a shot and punch that Haney no doubt will be working on not to get caught with as much whomever he fights moving forward.
