Curtis Moton’s viral post exposes the ugly truth behind Floyd Mayweather’s brand. His frustration is justified.
To say the least.
Curtis Moton is the father of US one time boxing protege prospect, Curmel Moton, promoted by Mayeather.
But he has been on the shelf for a long time at this point due to Mayweather’s diminished brand in boxing and outside of the sport, and more.
Moton senior lashed out at Mayweather on Instagram;
- Curtis Moton claims helping his son’s career Curmel Moton that he gave 10+ years of free labor to Mayweather’s brand with zero pay
- Floyd allegedly turned on him over a rumor about a social media like—10 years of loyalty erased by ego, allegedly
- The “Money Team family” image is a gimmick; Curtis says his whole family was discarded when convenient
- Mayweather Promotions has a pattern of stalling fighters—Tank Davis left, others followed
- Curmel Moton, a top prospect, has been sidelined by internal politics, not performance
- Unpaid wage accusations plague Floyd’s businesses—gym walkouts, strip club lawsuits
- Loyalty in Mayweather’s world is one-way: demanded from all, returned to none
- A real mentor would’ve called Curtis directly, not let paranoia kill a decade-long bond
- Floyd flaunts wealth while the people who built his brand reportedly struggle
- 50-0 as a boxer, but as a promoter? A legacy of broken promises and discarded allies
As a promoter he proved to be very bad at it, in the end. He looks done as a boxer too due to all the outside the ring issues and so on, also.
It is not surprising that he has basically burned his bridges it looks like at this point in all his fighters he ever had of note.
Gervonta Davis and now this.
