Ryan Garcia and Terence Crawford had very different reactions to Conor McGregor Max Hollway defeat

Conor McGregor who has been talking about boxers and boxing a lot lately looks to have come to his end in professional fighting.

He competed in professional boxing once ever with Floyd Mayweather some years ago.

Losing by stoppage in an easy win for Mayweather at the time in 2017.

McGregor was stopped in the very first round at the weekend in his comeback to MMA (mixed martial arts) by Max Holloway.

Fighting in their rematch he did not even make it out of round 1.

US boxing stars Terence Crawford and Ryan Garcia gave their views afterwards.

Crawford pointed to the smack talk McGregor was talking to him previously and how what goes around comes around.

Garcia however said that it was the worst ending to anything he ever saw and said their should be a rematch right away.

Contrasting reactions from two of America’s boxing biggest names, Crawford now a retired pound for pound number one.

Garcia still actively fighting and competing near the highest level at welterweight.

McGregor had said he had offered Terence Crawford a two-fight agreement in recent weeks but Crawford refuted this.

He also talked smack on boxing and boxers not having the same heart as MMA fighters basically.

McGregor did not look serious in his training for his MMA comeback.

Afterwards the injury he had to his knee at the weekend vs Holloway many are citing as an excuse as well.

Before the fight Conor McGregor said he was open to a Floyd Mayweather boxing rematch after all these years.

It is difficult to see how he would compete with anyone at a high level in professional boxing if he that was the result of his big MMA comeback.

He looks done to us in professional combat sport.
