Old sparring stories are old sparring stories but this is not a good look for Errol Spence from former champion Tim Bradley.
Errol Spence split with an old trainer a while ago now called Derrick James and it does not appear it was that amicable.
Some things have been brought up by him recently how the father of Errol Spence did not want him basically, more or less, doing certain spars apparently some years ago.
There are now some questions about why the split happened and who was at fault, Spence or his old coach.
Former world welterweight champion and now analyst believes either Spence or his old coach is not telling the truth.
He looks to be leaning towards saying it is Errol Spence not being totally truthful on why he split with his old boxing coach.
A bold claim from American Tim Bradley.
At any rate, Texas native Errol Spence returns this month against Australian Tim Tszyu on July 25th and will have a new trainer in his corner.
Ronnie Shields.
One interesting thing on this whole training saga and situation for Spence ahead of the fight is Shields is not exactly confident in Spence as well.
It has been mentioned by Ronnie Shields ahead of this fight that he himself does not even think Spence is the same fighter anymore.
Imagine any other trainer mentioning that about his fighter after not fighting in three years and coming back in a high level pro boxing match?
Not exactly good for his fighter’s confidence is it?
All the way in Australia as well this month on July 25th too.
This is another concern, all this for — Spence ahead of this month’s bout.
Moreover, Spence looks like he has trained more for a weight lifting match with the added bulk for the fight at 158 pounds with Tim Tszyu later this month.
That will slow him down a bit.
Some of the Errol Spence sparring partners have been saying some overly kind things for him going in — but that happens ahead of big fights.
Read between the lines.
Errol Spence is feeling the heat at the moment.
