There is an alleged leaked phone call going around online purporting to be boxing adviser Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe.
It was released by the rapper 50 Cent in the US. A has-been hip hop artist in America, real name Curtis Jackson.
He clearly has a beef still with Floyd Mayweather. They used to be friends and no longer are.
On the call the person who is allegedly Al Haymon, founder of the Premier Boxing Champions series and adviser to many boxers, is heard speaking.
For the first time that boxing spectators are aware of.
He can be heard speaking with whom appears to be allegedly former Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe.
Plotting some sort of threat to Floyd Maweather after what he claims Mayweather said he could part own or fully own the PBC previously.
The person on the call that people are claiming is Haymon said they (he and Ellerbe) will put Mayweather in the ground.
No you won’t.
Mayweather is in trouble though and so is Haymon and both have fallen way off in boxing.
As has the PBC, while, still putting on some solid fights, do not do so enough and are just cashing out at this point.
Price point is wrong for pay per views in the US specically.
Their stable is not as strong anymore, no real new prospects coming through and Haymon wasted too much.
The call leak is circulating now and it is safe to say it speaks volumes as to why both Al Haymon and Floyd Mayweather are no longer relevant anymore.
Only today Mayweather had to cancel his fight in Greece this weekend even.
Boxing is returning to the masses all the time but is not because of some of the old players in the sport.
It is a new day from boxing and boxing moves on still this year with lots of great new prospects, contenders breaking through.
And new professional companies, countries and organizations coming to boxing.
