Demetrius Andrade is finally getting back in the ring soon in 2026 in his long awaited comeback for the former world champion.

Andrade was thought to be one of the most avoided and underestimated boxers previously in all of boxing.

A very slick boxer with great range, jab and technical ability, although some found him a bit boring with his fight style, he was very effective to years.

  • Demetrius Andrade lost to David Benavidez by knockout in November 2023.
  • The loss was Andrade’s first professional defeat after 32 wins.
  • Andrade is a two-division world champion.
  • Andrade will headline the CES boxing event titled “Championship Jackpot” on July 24th.
  • The event will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
  • Andrade has not fought for over 18 months as of June 2026.
  • Andrade was ahead on two of three judges’ scorecards at the time of the Benavidez knockout.
  • The knockout came in the sixth round from a body shot followed by a right hand.
  • Andrade underwent shoulder surgery following the Benavidez loss.
  • Andrade is now 38 years old as of June 2026.

We don’t know who he will fight just yet in the comeback on July 24th next month but expect news soon.

He only lost to David Benavidez at the end of the day who is now one of the best boxers pound for pound in boxing.
