Adrien Broner claims he is back in boxing all of a sudden and there are some things that are not adding up here.
His former manager and/or adviser Al Haymon it is well known hasn’t been in boxing for a while on and off in recent years.
He is certainly not relevant anymore and boxing moved on without Haymon.
Broner has said on a stream that he met up with Haymon and that he is now back in boxing soon.
Adrien ‘AB’ Broner is a former four-weight world champion that has said things like this time and time again in recent years.
Saying that he was coming back to boxing but for one reason or another, it never happened, not properly anyway.
Broner in his day was a formidable boxer with great defense and excellent power in the lower weight divisions.
That was a while ago though.
He has hit alcohol hard in recent years and gained a lot of weight. If he was to make a comeback he would need to really take boxing serious again but he’s had attempts at comebacks only to not follow through with them.
Broner is now in the world of streaming with the likes of some character called ‘Deen The Great’ — with whom he is appearing on regular streams talking boxing and comebacks recently.
For context, again, ‘Deen The Great’ appears to be a popular (with some) new influencer in the US that is coming into contact with the sport of boxing, (and MMA), more and more.
In some ways this Broner streaming new venture shows the coming together of a new generation of combat sports fans of both MMA (mixed martial arts) and boxing as well.
As both sports get closer and more MMA fighters want to get into boxing — as do more influencers as well — with the proof again above with Broner and ‘Deen The Great’ streaming together lately.
As regards boxing, here’s the last ten fights Adrien Broner has had in boxing in recent years — if you are new to boxing or if you need a catch up run down:
- June 7, 2024: Loss to Blair Cobbs by UD 10
- June 9, 2023: Win vs. Bill Hutchinson by UD 10
- February 20, 2021: Win vs. Jovanie Santiago by UD 12
- January 19, 2019: Loss to Manny Pacquiao by UD 12
- April 21, 2018: Draw vs. Jessie Vargas by MD 12

- February 18, 2017: Win vs. Adrian Granados by SD 10
- April 1, 2016: Win vs. Ashley Theophane by TKO 9
- October 3, 2015: Win vs. Khabib Allakhverdiev by TKO 12
- June 20, 2015: Loss to Shawn Porter by UD 12
The above speak for themselves.
He hasn’t been active at all really in years in boxing.
Adrien Broner is only 36 though and he could comeback to boxing if he took it seriously but it just doesn’t look serious at all.
Recently he appeared to be happy away from boxing and content doing the streaming, but hey, who knows what fights he will be in.
