Richardson Hitchins Calls Out Devin Haney And People Are Not Happy

Richardson Hitchins calls out Devin Haney in a fight that people didn’t expect to say the least in boxing.

Hitchins is a capable fighter but Devin Haney is a big step up for him if they were to fight.

He called him out to a fight a short time ago on the X platform mentioning this year he is interested in the fight.

Here’s some of the reaction thus far:

A good little scrap if they make it.

For those that are new to boxing and not familiar with either of the above, here’s the intel on the two.

For boxing newcomers:

  • Undisputed champion means someone holds all 4 major belts (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) in one weight class at the same time.
  • Haney was undisputed at 135 lbs — for context.
  • Record format is kept in Wins-Losses-Draws (NC = No Contest).
  • Orthodox — right-handed fighter.
  • Southpaw — left foot/left hand forward.
  • Both are undefeated pros who started at 140 lbs or lower and are now at welterweight (147 lbs) as of 2025-2026.

With all this being said, at the end of the day, when all is said and done, the Ryan Garcia rematch is still the far bigger fight for Devin Haney.
