Benavidez Calls Out Canelo After Defeating Ramirez

Benavidez Calls Out Canelo

David Benavidez calls out Canelo Alvarez after defeating Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez in boxing tonight in Vegas. Learn what he said below.

He knocked out ‘Zurdo’ to become a three-weight world champion and all the way up at cruiserweight.

A short time ago in the ring he said after the win in round 6 tonight in boxing:

“I feel good, man. I just want to give the fans what they want to see. I’ve seen Canelo in the building. Let me ask the fans this: Do you guys want to see Canelo vs David Benavidez?Upset? That means we can’t leave that fight on the table. I have respect for Canelo — he’s a great champion — but I’m a great champion too. Let’s do it.I’m still champion at 175. I’m champion at 200 and 175. If they want to come get that 175, let’s get it. And if not him, how about Bivol? Bivol is number one on my hit list. He’s a great competitor and a great champion, but I’m a great champion too.I just want to test myself every single fight.”

Alvarez fights at a much lower weight class however.

He fights around super-middleweight now and lost to Terence Crawford last time out there back in September.

Canelo Alvarez returns soon but has another fight before Benavidez could fight happen.

Who knows what will happen with fights for Canelo and David Benavidez but it was a solid win tonight for Benavidez.
