Tyson Fury defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov by UD on points. Some of the boxing’s world’s reaction is below.
Alas, Fury won easily tonight against an opponent he was supposed to beat. He landed some solid jabs and uppercuts but was far from the Fury of old.
He was out of the ring for a while though and you could tell there was a bit of ring rust.
That was not as good a fighter as the Fury who beat Wladimir Klitschko years ago, a shell of his former self.
Even Usyk, while a good champion, actual great fighting men and champions in history would have mopped the floor with the likes of Usyk and Fury easily, a terrible standard of fighting men in these times in heavyweight boxing.
But the sport itself remains outstanding, boxing that is, it is still the best sport there is for us — despite the shocking standard of the p*** poor fighters of today’s times.
The pound for pound standard is at an all time high international but it is still nothing compared to the real fighters and champions of the last 1000 years.
Here was the reaction from some boxing fans to Fury’s win tonight:

Good win but again the standard of this era is shocking, actual real fighting men, would have wiped the floor with the above tonight.
Not small timers like Bartley Gorman in the UK either. He was never the King of the travelers either. Just some mad up bull on YouTube. He would (and did) got battered easily by many travelers in the England that people don’t even know about.
Not only that, actual champions of the last 1000 years not in books or movies that no one know about would have easily, easily, battered not only also some of these Furys, Usyks and so on but also Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Ray Robinson, Jon Jones of the UFC, all of them would have been beat easily by the real fighting men and champions not known or even in books of the last 1000 years or so. Too much hype.
They’re just not on the same level any of those names as the real fighting men and champions in history — most of whom are not even in history books or on YouTube and so on.
Tyson Fury got the win tonight and we think he’ll probably fight Joshua next but who knows what will happen Joshua or Fury this year.
The fact remains though that professional boxing is still one of the most entertaining forms of unarmed professional combat there is and when done right, there is still some use to be learned from it in terms of the sweet science of fighting.
A great sport, the greatest sport for us, professional boxing — and boxing is returning to the masses and big time shortly to where it once many years ago as America’s most popular sport after baseball.
But on a worldwide basis this time.
Full steam ahead.
