Errol Spence reacts to Jermell Charlo call out.
It is all happening in boxing at the moment. Fights everywhere in happy days again for the sport.
Now there is more that can be done and made. Errol Spence claims he’s having a comeback this year.
Speaking to Fight Hype on Jermell Charlo calling him out he said:
“I mean, Canelo’s gone. Terence is gone. So, you know—who else are we going to get a big payday from? That’s the only reason he called me out, ’cause everybody knows how the sparring went. His coach—Coach Derrick James—knows how the sparring went. Everybody who was in there knows how the sparring went. So, hey man, he wants some money.”
Due to the size difference you wouldn’t think the fight is a possible one but never say never.
Here’s three possible opponents for Spence’s supposed return:
- Tim Tszyu: Top rumor; trainer Robert Garcia and pundit Paulie Malignaggi confirm hearing talks for 2026 return bout (possibly Sydney or Vegas, early-mid year).
- Jermell Charlo: Earlier talks (late 2025) for early 2026 clash between ex-stablemates; Spence recently called it money-motivated.
- Vergil Ortiz Jr.: Floated by promoter Oscar De La Hoya as big-money option (e.g., Dallas); Garcia downplays it due to Spence’s layoff.
Time will tell if Errol Spence proves himself to be relevant again or not.
