World conqueror Mike Tyson went back to where he was born to help young people.
Mike Tyson continues to smash it up in boxing and everything he does in the West and East.
Since Ali died he is now the biggest name in boxing out of names alive and is a huge hit with young people in particular around the world.
In the West and East, from his gyms, to his programs for students, to his new facilities in the Middle East.
This the latest in Brownsville in New York where he was born in the US:
For those new to the sport and might not be familiar with Brownsville in New York and Tyson, some brief facts:
- Born June 30, 1966, in Brooklyn; moved to Brownsville around age 10.
- Grew up in extreme poverty in one of NYC’s most violent neighborhoods.
- Never knew biological father; stepfather left early; mother Lorna raised him (died when he was 16).
- Was shy, pudgy, soft-spoken, and bullied as a kid.
- Got into street fights, theft, and crime; arrested 30–38 times by age 13.
- Lived at 178 Amboy Street amid constant gang violence and danger.
- Discovered his punching power in street fights, which later led to boxing.
- Brownsville shaped his toughness before he was sent to juvenile facilities and met Cus D’Amato.
That’s the basic run down of it.
Today Mike Tyson is a world hero with young people West and East, a business powerhouse and still the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history.
Tyson is an unstoppable, unbreakable man, clearly.
However he can go much further this year in boxing in the East as well.
Boxing needs Tyson where he is available in the East this year.
