Boxing World Reacts To Terence Crawford Winning 2025 Ring Male Fighter Of The Year

Terence Crawford retired on top as pound for pound King and head honcho of all of boxing and is now sailing into the sun set.

Many can’t do this in life when they reach that pinnacle that Crawford reach.

Retiring that is. It just doesn’t suit some people and the hustle never ends for them.

But it maybe suits Crawford for now who mentioned recently he is content resting and chilling for now.

After a tremendous year in 2025 where he defeated Canelo Alvarez at super-middleweight to become an all-time great, some further good news for him.

After winning that bout by UD on points and retiring undefeated the best of his time in boxing — Ring Magazine have given him the Fighter of the Year award for male boxers for 2025.

Here’s reaction from the boxing world:

Well deserved.

A great fighter and some excellent fights over the years.

A man who tasted death in his life after been shot to years later showing it is not where you start in life that counts.

Being shot could have killed him and ended any aspiration of athletic competition of any kind.

At any level.

Far from it was the reality.

One of boxing, America’s and professional sport’s great all time athletes and competitors.

A uniquely quietly stoic man away from boxing but like all all-time great champions like Muhammad Ali, Ray Robinson, Floyd Mayweather, Rocky Marciano and others, he had the killer instinct when he needed it.

This weekend Crawford got into some heated words with Teofimo Lopez’ father and head trainer here ahead of this weekend’s big fight.
