There was a notable absence at the final press conference and another advantage to Shakur Stevenson here — big time.
Even Teofimo Lopez’ own father and trainer was not at the final press conference for him yesterday.
Very strange.
That usually never happens either. Lopez senior often does much talking to promote his fights.
Stevenson paid attention to this and said:
In all the years of big Teofimo Lopez fights his father is always there vocal at all his press conferences over the years.
Let that sink in.
When that first bell goes he’ll be in the corner of course but it will just be Shakur Stevenson in there for Lopez.
He will have nowhere to hide from him and although has a weight and size advantage, that can be used as an advantage by Stevenson as well.
Teofimo Lopez has not been making a whole lot of sense even yesterday here.
