Shakur Stevenson is the only one who controls his destiny and reality and he is stomping anything that gets in his way lately.
He takes on a bigger foe this weekend though and maybe some will make Stevenson an underdog because of this.
Because he is giving away some size and weight.
Not us though. Stevenson said to the Ring ahead of the fight on a shoulder program this week:
Well, he going to want to make this a firefight, but I think that’s going to be his downfall. Being that I know that I’m getting in the ring with the truth, I want to elevate my game and make sure that I’m better than him. I want to be better than him in every area on fight night. And that’s what we going to do. Hold on. I’m next, y’all.”
Stevenson can use speed to his advantage and he needs to be razor sharp this weekend.
Precision and accuracy and boxing right from the get go.
Making it the type of fight he wants it to be.
Irrespective of what Lopez or anyone else wants.
It is what he wants that counts.
