2025 Boxing News And Views Outstanding Achievement Of The Year Award

This is always an award in boxing that can range from a number of people and countries but for us there can only be one in this award this year.

That’s the one and only Manny Pacquiao of course.

What a year he had, maybe one of his best ones yet and at 47 it is not over yet. 2026 is set to be even bigger.

This year he rolled back the clocks to first show huge courage to step in with a young opponent called Anpo in Japan in an exhibition he knew nothing about and looked terrible against in the fight in.

Then after that to actually get back into proper pro boxing training and step in there with a 30-year-old WBC welterweight world champion in Mario Barrios and although he drew, most thought he deserved to get the win in.

Effectively becoming a world champion again in the eyes of the people, public and boxing fans around the world.

Not only that he did all this while becoming a member of the 2025 Boxing Hall of Fame and did this while still actively being a professional boxer, something very few have done in history.

Moreover, his MP Promotions put on some great new events in the sport as well that saw Pacquiao’s son make his pro debut.

Even more than that, Pacquiao became the official Vice President of the IBA (International Boxing Association). The world’s number one organization now in amateur boxing with World Boxing and their chairman Gennady Golovkin in a mess by not working with the IBA.

Pacquiao gets the outstanding achievement of the year award by a country mile for us. This was the clearest cut win of an award this year for us.

Well deserved.
