Boxers who try to mimic Ali but do so with none of his class or his intellect come across as dummies and not a help to building a big fight these days.
When it was time to fight there was no bigger killer and real killer than Muhammad Ali.
No one.
He was serious killer and ice cold in the ring.
He really was.
But when it came to his promotions and his talk before the fight there was a great way about him with it, a great wit, humor, a great brain, a great intellect, he had a great way with people.
He had no time for Satanists of course (they are only the 0.4% of society anyway) and even in his day he took on his government and not only won, after the US lost the war in Vietnam after Ali refused to go on fight in it, he became bigger than ever years later.
The Muhammad Ali Mentality Is Lost On Some Boxers Today
Proved right in one of the occasions the US got it wrong to go into a foreign country, Ali was simply bigger than boxing and bigger than movies and sport.
But when you see some of the trash talk online and press conferences between boxers these days it just comes up very short and amateur looking sometimes compared to Ali’s stuff. Some of it when it is not genuine or real it just comes off as brain dead compared to Ali.
Ali was literally a genius. Not just boxing. Not just professional sport.
That’s why it is so frustrating that he stayed on boxing as long as he did because he could have done literally anything Ali, he was a genius.
But make no mistake, Ali was a real killer in the boxing ring and in the fight game.
Ask Mike Tyson about that, no one was more of a real, stone cold killer than Muhammad Ali in the boxing and fight game.
That Cleveland Williams fight if you go back and watch it, Williams was coming in there against a genius and paid the price, brutally.
Ali was the genius of geniuses in heavyweight boxing.
